I liked lots of things about this book and enjoyed it in the moment of reading, but overall I found the fragmented style and continually changing focus made it all seem a little superficial, lacking in depth. The stories and characters were engaging but I was a bit frustrated to get so little of them. The book also kept reminding me of Lucy Ellmann's Ducks, Newburyport, which travelled through this territory while offering so much more to observe along the way. 5/10.

Untethered, disjointed. But there is beauty in that.
