Not gonna lie, they lost me in the middle there, but I want to wrap the last 10% of this book around me like a weighted blanket and cry forever
Didn’t plan on reading these ones, but I’m kind of a sucker for series that connect back to the original one I loved. I love how Finley ties it all into one world. But what I loved about the Famous Quartet was that it wasn’t about it being a m/m romance, it was about the nature of defining sexuality and how love should be accepted as what it is — the person you fall in love with. As David Rose says, “it’s the wine, not the label.”
Reasons I’d Recommend:
1. I love happy rom-coms and this one had laughter, fun, and great friends from the beginning where we see the terror of Harley’s stalker, to a single dad trying to do his best for his daughter, to two best friends realizing it’s more, and to the movie star who isn’t above standing up for what he believes in. It’s a fun world.
2) Each book is a standalone but the world is fun and who doesn’t love boy bands?
3) A sneak peek into the Mike Bravo world while bringing it back to the Fake Boyfriend world with Jet and Soren. A truly fun read.

I loved both Ryder and Lyric, and their interaction, their story. A little slow burn, but not too much. I devoured the book. I was a bit disappointed by the wrap-up/ending, it was too quick and easy, and not in line with the rest of the book.
