Really fuck with the concept of this book, a non fiction scenario, and it moves so fast. Often, the magnitude of the events being detailed are too much to grasp. Fascinated by the half measures in place the States have that will be able to detect incoming missiles but wont have a chance of stopping them. And, the existence of Launch on Warning broke my brain.
The writing on Göbekli Tepe was really nice.

We’re all fucking cooked - but i do feel more comfortable dying in the initial blast though.

Don’t recommend reading this while missiles are dropping in the Middle East… but maybe you like to live on the edge?

Terrifying.

Terrifying. The survivors will envy the dead.

Thoroughly chilling, but also hard to put down. 18+ due to detailed descriptions of the results of a nuclear bomb, including radiation poisoning.
