Book was okay. I don’t feel comfortable calling it diverse since it feels very white. I know the main character Alex is half-Mexican, but he’s also half-white. And many of the characters are light skinned Hispanics. This is not a complaint, merely an explanation.

The book itself was cute! I gave it 3 stars because it was really engaging and fast but I couldn’t fully lose myself in the book. It’s very fluffy and plays fast and loose with the rules of reality. I don’t mind that generally, but I felt the book was trying to ground itself in more reality and it wasn’t believable.

The book is a romance about two public figures who are men. They constantly worry about being outed and shunned by their respective families.

They do get found out and some people are homophobic, most are nice and accepting

There is a character that mentions going through rehab successfully. The characters joke about waterboarding and other political issues for both the UK and US. (More so the United States)

That was actually so good. Sorry for everyone who tried to convince me to read it and I never got to it lol 

The way this book got everything I love. Rivals to lovers. Royalty. Gay people. Jane Austin. Poems. Talk about Remus Lupin being gay (he is). History. Adorable family support. Hamilton. More gay people. I love it.
