A very interesting and inspiring concept of not settling for what you believe fate has in store for you. the characters were so interesting for a 120 page book with fleshed out characteristics

I had trouble getting into this story. Once our protagonist meets Primrose, the story took off. I especially loved Zellandine and the other Sleeping Beauties. I really don’t like Zinnia, though. And that makes it hard to really love the story. She’s so caustic and has the attitude of a young teen rather than a 21 year old young woman.

First off, I don't care for books that use a lot of swear words and this book uses quite a few.  That being said, it was definitely a creative take on the story and there was something about it that kept me engaged to the end. Despite this, I did not find any of the characters relatable and I felt the author took the feminist direction of the story a bit too far.  Overall, this book was not my cup of tea. But if you are into Sapphic fairytales with a lot of girl power and you don't mind minimal character development, you will most likely enjoy the book.

incongruous writing that somehow didn’t match the tone, and in combination with the plot and pacing i was thrown all over the place. but it was fine.

so much fun! read in one sitting outside my work in seaport, and the entire vibe was immaculate. the story is weaved so interestingly, and so many familiar fairytale elements are reinvented in interesting and fun new ways. it was fun, funny, feminist, and almost made me cry. too bad i didn't really care about any characters other than zinnia and didn't really care about the romance. but there was a "harold, they're lesbians" joke, so.
