Good book! Flew through it just kind of immature writing, which makes sense because it takes place with a bunch of teenagers. I didn’t love the references but it was good!

This went in not one single direction I thought it would. A great, quick horror novel.

A cute YA horror book that mimics the feel of a mid-80’s slasher pretty well. Incorporates MAGA politics into its nightmarish, gore filled plot in a very literal and instructive way (which is appropriate for YA) without ever feeling too preachy. That one romantic storyline is sweet but it comes out of absolutely nowhere in the last fifty or so pages in a way that completely baffled me since the book is otherwise pretty straightforward in terms of inhabiting its characters well

Solid 5 ☆.
Campy, fun, horrifying.

I looooved the teenagers in this book. Felt like a movie and flowed so well.

Quinn is a cool FMC, I liked her mental approach to being a new student; it's an opportunity, she isn't too moody or melancholy, no judgemental.

Cole is the brooding bad boy.

Rust is the enigma neighbor, not quite the typical red neck.

Matt, Ronnie, Janet are the brats and *cool kid* mean teens.

Didn’t really have me hooked until 50% through, but after that it I flew through it. Would definitely read the sequels.
