Audiobook (audible) - mostly smut, minimal underdeveloped storyline in between smut.

It started stronger than it finished, but was hot the whole way through. This is a “don’t think about the plot” book just go with the flow.. go.... with...it..yeahhhh

This was, hands down, the worst erotica audiobook I’ve ever suffered through. The narrators made it unbearable. The female narrator sounded like she was reading a history book, zero passion or energy. And don’t get me started on the male narrator’s horrible Cockney accent, which was cringeworthy at best. It’s painfully obvious that a Cockney accent doesn’t work for this genre, especially when he tries to voice female characters. This story supposedly explores a throuple dynamic, but we only get the perspectives of Katie and Carl! The whole time both Rick and Carl constantly repeat that “not one without the other” but yet no Rick chapters?! Spare yourself the agony—skip the audiobook and maybe, just maybe, the physical copy is bearable.

I really tried to like this book it was widely promoted and talked about on tiktok and I tried really did. The first thing that almost made me DNF right away is on multiple occasions one of the mmcs use the B word when talking about the FMC. I am all about degradation like I have no problem with that except for that word in particular. But I decided to look past it and keep reading hoping it was going to go somewhere and it was like instant love Rick after like 2 weeks is like professing his love for the FMC and then Carl has some sort of Kink he's not telling her about which I never even got to. There was absolutely no relationship building between the three of these characters it was mentioned and passing that they were doing these things for her but you never saw my page. And then of course we got the FMC with daddy issues which went fine that didn't bother me. But the biggest thing is they're talking about how much they love her but yet they give her absolutely no aftercare they knew it was going to be really hard for her to put two Ps in the V made it possible and then no aftercare. It was like this author watch some hardcore scenes and decided to try to put it on page.

I was surprised by this book. I expected all sex all the time....but low and behold....there was as story.

This book was sweet, hot, loving, hot, and just plain hot. I wish there had been more Rick, as this book was told from Katie and Carl's POV. I wish we would have had Rick's POV too...that was my only issue. If you like hot MMF with a story...give this a try. It was definitely not what I was expecting in a good way!

Did I read this book solely because of the cover? Yes.
This book was so much more delightful than I bargained for. With the name and that cover, I really wasn't expecting much of a plot. But this book had so many layers! It's my first true MMF polyamory book, and yes there was a ton of steam (and kink I had never read before). But the characters were deeper than surface. We got Carl & Rick's relationship, as well as them working out how Katie fit in the mix. We got Katie, and her family drama, and her love of horses, and the internship. We learned about past traumas, and how they can shape us and our decisions. We learned about dreams so big, and what happens when they change.
I'm sad that the story was only told in Carl & Katie's POV, leaving Rick out. I would have liked to get more into his head because he was the FUN one. But the evolution of both Carl and Katie in this story was told so well from their perspectives. Carl seems so unapproachable and even scary to Katie at the beginning, but we get to peek behind the curtain with her, and he's just so amazing.
