Heh, this book was a little boring.
I saw almost all the things coming, nothing was unexpected which made the book mostly boring for me.
A few spoilers ahead.
The way she changed her mind at the end about the baby and then everything was perfect. Don't get me wrong, I love happy endings, I only read books with HEA but in this book, it felt forced to me. She went from I don't want babies to "put a baby in me" after the accident, it felt like she did it only because she couldn't ride anymore, not because she wanted to.
I hate the fact that we didn't get anything from Rick's perspective. I get it that he had a happy childhood and there was nothing to say about him in that part, but still, he was part of the couple. It felt weird to read only from Carl and Katie's perspective.
I didn't connect with the writing at all!! Hated it. I am not saying Jade West is a bad writer, not at all, just that her books might not be for me. I had this experience with another author in my life before and before I give up and never read anything from Jade West I will try a few more books.

The polyamorous relationship was told, explained so good. It's just that I feel like Carl betrayed her in a sense when she coached Verity. Just that I feel like the fmc deserved more sorrys from them.

Having the two male characters go back and forth about when they should tell Katie their secret pulled me out of the story. I was excited about the premise but it just wasn’t for me…I was bored.

It was okay, I liked the guys, Katie was ok. The writing could have been better, it felt very YA at times, as did some plot points, which didn't match the levels of spice.
A huge negative for me was near the end when the horse gets seriously hurt, his injury described in detail, the prospect of the horse not making it and acknowledgment that it was due to the MF's incompetece and pride - I wasn't a huge fan of Katie to begin with but having to read about a greatly injured animal due to this characters actions definitely didn't warm me up to her

changing everything about your life, including making up with your estranged father you only ever call the sperm donor, and the half sister you hate? PLUS changing your mind on wanting kids even though for 20+ years you’ve said you will never have kids? in SIX MONTHS?! nah. not a chance.
also carl and verity were the only ones i cared about. rick had no personality and katie was just....annoying? idk.
