I caved in and read this. I think I first saw it on Bookstagram and added it, not thinking much about it. Let's say, came for the smut, stayed for the plot. While there are many explicit scenes, I appreciate that there is personality to the characters and an actual storyline. Yes, they want to fuck, but they also have jobs and dreams and trauma and hope. I don't like

, but it made sense here and I am glad that it happened here. I am just so happy for the wonderful thruple and would have squealed so loud at the ending if I were not at work when I finished the book.

I will admit that the FMC annoys me sometimes, especially with her horse and all, but for her age, I get her immaturity compared to all the other characters in the book. She's still young and has prospects for her future. She just came upon this relationship out of her love of Samson and desperation. I appreciate that Carl and Rick did not pressure her and allowed her to be her own person throughout the entire relationship. We support men who support women!!!
