This book was an absolute train wreck but the spice kept me going. Katie's family is full of toxicity & the fact that we tried to pass off her dad as being a good guy was quite a stretch. All the characters felt really surface level, & even though we saw a lot of Katie's life & her inner monologue, all I can tell you is she likes horses and being better than Verity. The spice in this book was good, but it wasn't as great as the author made it sound like it was going to be. It lacked description and took me out of the scenes a little bit.

This was good up until it wasn't. The ending sucked honestly. I get giving up her dreams and all that jazz but ugh it's felt so rushed towards the end like the author was trying to make a deadline and finish the book.
