After finishing the book, I look back and laugh how when the book first starts, it's hard to tell if Rick and Carl are two college kids with silver spoons, or CEO's. I'm so glad that they are neither! I knew going into it that it was mmf, but the smile that spread across my face the moment you find out that it wasn't just two guys looking for a threesome. There was no delay with a slow burn, just a jump right into the deep end! I loved having the multiple view points, that really made a difference! I liked Rick and Katie's instant connection. And I also enjoyed see Carl being the complete opposite with the situation. The work place plot twist made me gasp! And from there, seeing Carl and Katie's bond change was so enjoyable! Their Rocky moment! And then the second! It felt a little like an enemies to lovers-stuck working together trope. And the way it moved Carl to need her the same way he "wouldn't" get jealous of her and Rick's bond at the beginning. (The way they confessed their love for Katie, to each other, during an intimate connection.) The mirror in the kitchen.....that whole scene. Goodness! The decision, as a couple, to take this more seriously with Katie separately. And then the first time that the call to ask for permission was needed. The escalation that Carl wanting to buy Katie her dream caused. The past/s it brought up. The way Rick and Carl comforted each other. The way Carl and David spoke after finding out about Katie. Those are definitely things I don't want to spoil!!! And then we got SO close to the end, and I thought for SURE we were in for smooth sailing! But then the way Katie decided to give Carl and Rick exactly what they wanted, but she wanted, and the way it happened was the perfect cherry on top. And the book at the perfect last sentence.

Not gonna lie I wanted to read this book for the smut got surprised by the story and the drama.
