Artemis was just ok for me. I really loved The Martian but Artemis didn't live up to the bar that Weir's debut set.

In the Martian, the 'villain' is essentially the planet. It's not good or evil, it just is and Watney has to outsmart it using his scientific knowledge.
Whereas in Artemis, Jazz is a smuggler who gets in too deep and thugs start to become an issue. She was also a bit of a special snowflake, smart as hell but 'not living up to that potential'.

It was a pretty easy read but didn't inspire any strong feelings for me.

I listened to this one. Rosario Dawson was a fantastic narrator but I really did not like the story. It was such a let down after Project Hail Mary.

Disappointing main character development - especially compared to Weir’s other novels. However,
