66/100 (2018 Reading Challenge)

This is the first book I ever truly remember loving. My first memory of ever getting properly lost in a book. Sure it’s meant for younger audiences but that still does not mean it can not be enjoyed by adults & definitely was again. Not read it in years but still enjoy the tale.

A little dark and creepy leading into Halloween, but not too creepy, so ideal for October.

2.5 stars. Second half was relatively good. I still like Matilda better.

Lines I loved: "It doesn't matter who you are or what you look like so long as somebody loves you"

Me gustó mucho el libro, me gustaron los personajes y la trama y el autor tiene un gran talento con los libros infantiles y es el primer libro que leo del autor sin saber que va a pasar (soy culpable de haber visto las películas antes)

This was one of my favorite Roald Dahl books when I was younger. I listened to the audio book of this since I lost the physical copy a few years ago. I really wanted to read this though. Still one of my favorite books of his. :)

My children really appreciated this story, when I read it to them, but I still think it's one of Dahl's lesser ones.
