An adorable Chinese book of stories from Beijing. ALL the artwork is color watercolors. The stories center on a disabled child and her grandfather. I would classify them as magical realism slice-of-life.

Charming & sweet My Beijing tells four mini stories of Yu'er & her grandfather's neighborhood, each with a touch of magic. I quite like how the gentle line art & watercolors fit so well with the slow paced but lovely stories. A delightful read.

Charming book about a girl with a disability that makes it so she can't walk and her sweet grandfather. I enjoyed all of the sweet little stories. Maybe I have a little more heart for them too bc of my relationship with my grandfather.
