This book was a sensory & emotional overload!! the end was satisfying, if not exactly what I wanted to happen. When I closed this book, I felt a part of my heart stay within the pages. I will miss these characters & probably reread the series a few times in the future in order to visit them again. I loved these series & will recommend it to tons of people in the future.
Thank you laini taylor! :)

This is one genius book that shows how immensely creative Taylor is. It encompasses all aspects of Taylor's mythology from its origins to hints of what is gonna happen beyond the series. As I said with previous books, this series doesn't just focus on the characters but has a rich and complex plot that not many YA novels possess. I also enjoyed the epilogue which is so sweet. It's been an intense ride and I'm happy to have followed Karou's adventure, now my favourite heroine ever! Goosebumps throughout the book!

So disappointed. :(
I still love the writing. It's like reading a legend. Epic. Beautiful. Mesmerizing.
But the plot... oh, the plot. Or... absence of it, at least how I felt it. The first part of the book was good and promising - but then the promises were broken. Nothing really happened! And the solution of the conflict was just... dull. Yeah, yeah, it's nice to win the war more or less peacefully, but... but... hey, legends need epic battles between good and evil, sacrifices and losses and DRAMA. Not "they talked, went home and lived happily ever after".
And the emphasis on Karou and Akiva was just too much for me. Yet again... nothing really happened, just their thoughts and feelings described over and over and over and over again. Towards the end I was getting really bored of them.
The other pair which formed also bored me...
Still, I loved Zuze and Mik! They were as great and entertaining as ever!!!
And so... there's a lots and lots of pages of nothing going on, and then there's ending with EPIC battles for the future. As for me, all related to Jael could have been put in a few chapters and then the story could have gone on to the epic ancient battle. I could not wait for the book to end, and that's a pity. Sad ending for such a great story.

Very nice trilogy, although I wish it had a bit more of Karou and Akiva together.

So disappointed with this one. Got over a quarter through and nothing is happening so skim read through to see if anything amazing takes place. I was just bored. I’m sorry, but as a conclusion to the trilogy, no.
