This book is a must read for anyone feeling a little lost, as though they have not reached their full potential or that they should already have life all figured out. The book initially is challenging due to how directly it covers issues relating to mental health, however, the writing style lends it to be an easy read despite covering a range of complex topics. The premise of the book is unique and whilst other books have made me feel a grater range of emotions, with potentially a more developed plot line, I have to give 4 stars purely for how relatable and affirming the book is (and the dedication, given the time at which the book was written).

It was a very interesting premise and.. though it got a little long in the middle/ approx 75-85% … it was a beautiful story and I felt like it had a great message

The 2.5⭐️s are for Nora. I feel sorry for her that she wasn’t developed very well and only really used as an excuse for Haig to prattle on about his own philosophies. It seems he didn’t get the book deal he wanted and then hastily invented this poor woman and a fanciful library - bobs ur uncle you’ve got a novel. An interesting premise but poor execution. :(

Exceptional book. It made me cry in a nice way. It starts out very heavy, but push through it. It’s a beautiful book, very good for people who are having trouble seeing how things could be better.
