Absolutely beautiful. If you enjoyed Everything Everywhere At Once, this is definitely up your alley. I know I'll be thinking about this book for a while, took me about two days to get thru

Well-informed word choice and very powerful passages throughout.

While the Midnight Library isn't the normal book I would choose to read now that I have read it. I was enthralled by the cover and the summary of the content I heard: someone being able to live an infinity of lives through books in a library. It wasn't what I expected, it was a thousand times better, not perfect and worth my five stars (maybe I'll changd my mind after a reread), but still so so good. Living these lives with Nora Seed, questioning our regrets while she can actually redo them, questioning the way of life... It was refreshing and a learning experience all the same. I would love to read this book again. It was great. Life isn't just happy moments, but hard as well, it's not about being perfect, it's about living, finding your moments and people and things you enjoy to do.
This book showed me that the little things are as important as the big and that it is okay to aim low as well, as long as you continue to aim and not give up. Doing something badly is better than not doing it at all!

A lesson in finding hope within despair, and also embracing the many worlds theory in physics.

I wasn’t expecting to read a book I’d rate so highly after only getting through the first 30 pages. I loved the style, the narration, and the poignant way of diving into one life and zooming out of it. It reminded me of five people you meet in heaven. I love this concept and was positively surprised at how well this was done.

That aside, there were many instances where I related strongly with Nora. “Expectations” being a particular passage inside the book that struck a chord with many, and I am no exception. Please go into this book with no expectations. I’ve picked it up solely because I saw a friend (hi, Léonie) reading it and decided to give it a try as well. I went into it blind, and that was the best choice I could’ve made in order to be able to appreciate the situations detailed inside the rather short chapters. (The short, yet meaningful chapters are the best that modern literature has to offer, lemme tell ya.)

Anyways, 10/10 recommend!

Heed the TW: suicide, hinted self-harm, mentioned sexual harrassment, toxic relationship, mentioned drug and alcohol abuse.

It felt at times like the author wrote this book to try to convince suicidal people not to commit suicide and I think that's generally unhelpful and insensitive. If not read as for this purpose, there are some insightful concepts and interesting ideas that are explored pretty well. I was fond of Nora. Seemed like she had lots of autistic traits to me.

This a cute, uplifting book. You can't help reflecting on your own life when you read it. It's a very interesting concept but it can be a bit didactic. The ideas the author is trying to convey are a bit on the nose at points. I wouldn't say it's a must-read for everyone but it's certainly an enjoyable book
