The aesthetics were beautiful with the images, painting, typewriter style, quality paper with different visuals like stains and ink spots. š« Really liked the visual. On the poems side I was totally lost tho, it felt like angsty teenage poems about boys and idk I donāt listen to Lana del Rey I donāt know if this is a character or some theme of her music.
I only borrowed the book from a friend because the cover was pretty š so had no expectations what so ever. Maybe I just donāt get it like her fans do. I donāt even get the what the poem in the title is about, whoās Violet? I got an uncomfortable Lolita vibe from but also didnāt bother to research further if there is more context.

This woman played such an immense role during my most formative years and for that I will always love her. And while I genuinely enjoyed certain parts of this collection, I found the overall experience to be somewhat mediocre? Honestly I donāt think Iāll ever really āgetā poetry or spoken word (and thatās on me)ā¦like most of the time I find myself rolling my eyes so far back lolol but despite this, her lyrics and music are everything and I will adore LDR forever

I just Ā«rereadĀ» this book with poems and as a big fan of Lana this review might be based also on my thoughts of her. Iām no expert on poems and poetry, but I do like to read them even without trying to understand cause the way poems are set up most of them have such a nice flow which I love
In autumn through winter I listened to Lana narrating this album on Spotify a lot because it brought me so much comfort. Thatās something I really love about this book. It feels so comforting to me with all the pictures and the way itās built up.
