SAMANTHA INLOVE WITH AVA IS THE BEST THING EVER BUT THE FACT THAT AVA DIES IS THE WORST THING EVER I WANNA CRYYYY
AMAZING BOOK!!! Got it and thought it was interesting and it was so much better than the back of the book. Get ready for a heathers and Melanie Martinez mv rollercoaster of emotions and plot line. Some parts are questionable but absolute epitome of metaphorical horror/ psychology cult thriller!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Yes to messed up main characters. My rating also includes that I was too dumb to understand the book
because my friend who lent it to me had to spell out how unreliable the narrator was that nothing happened and suddenly it all made sense

This book is a fever dream. I didn’t know what was happening when I started and by the end I wasn’t sure where I disappeared to and how I came out the other side. It was funny and weird and horrific and I just didn’t want to put it down.

I got real Bell Jar vibes from this book. A young female writer who seems to descend into madness in part from loneliness. The further into the book you go, the further from reality you go. This one is more comedic and easier to digest since it more firmly plants itself in the surreal realm with bunny men, deer men and swan gals.

There’s a lot of speculation as to what was real or who was real. I think this book has some magical realism to it with a dash of madness. I think Sam is slowly going a bit crazy—either from loneliness or partly withdrawal from the Tic Tacs she gets fed from the bunnies. And yet most events actually took place.

There’s so many interesting commentary on privilege and access to higher education.

I’ll be thinking about this book for a while. The more I sit on this book the more I love it.

It was a bit slow at times and a bit predictable, but some things were great reveals too.

What, and I don't say this lightly, the fuck.

I need to read a discussion of this book because I'm struggling to fully understand it, but wow it still felt like effective writing in that I think my reading experience properly reflected the narrator's experience - so much chaos and tension and mystery.

Horror/thrillers aren't my usual genre, but I'm enjoying Awad's work here and in Rouge. The feminist and class-based commentary definitely helps, but I also enjoy her use of language - she wields a beautiful vocabulary.

I found it very interesting to see some repeated themes from Rouge, with the narrator's whimsical almost-dissociated voice describing her detachment from her previous relationships as she gets sucked into a coercive insidious cult. Rouge and Bunny are definitely different books with different themes and arcs, but I definitely still felt Awad's style in both.

Almost didn't finish this book. Took a while to get to where it really began to pick up and thought I was reading just a cliche of a book. This book took me out back and beat me for thinking that. I just tried to describe this book to a friend and words failed me. It's a book about bunnies, it's a book about more than just bunnies. It's all in your head. It's reality. There's magic and there's no magic. Boys but they're not boys. It's a book about bunnies.

What a fucking wild ride man. I'm going to just have to sit with this and stare at a wall for a few hours.

I felt like this book was attempting to be something so elaborate that it just could not quite grasp. I found it sort of hard to follow at times and at the end some things didn't feel resolved enough.

I’m conflicted about this book. At first it was so slow that I didn’t think I could get through it. Eventually something happens that instantly gets me hooked & I don’t want to put my kindle down. I enjoyed how manic it felt at times. If you like being on your toes this book is for you!
The ending is a bit lackluster but also made complete sense.

I don’t think I’ve ever been more confused but also know what’s going on at the same time while reading a book.
