If you like a book with a definite plotline and solid ending, this isn't for you. 
It wasn't bad. It was well written and the voice was interesting and well thought out. It did feel like a feverdream and I'm not 100% sure what was going on most of the time. I liked it enough, but if I hadn't plowed through it, I probably would've put it down and not picked it up again.

This book is strange and weirdly compelling? And half of the time Sam says stuff and you know as the reader it's not true, b/c she's such an unreliable narrator and she's stuck in her thoughts half of the time?

The prose is stunning, visually. Thematically, I read it as a metaphor on the creative process and a critique of art school. And how lonely these endeavors can be. 

Like some of the metaphors weren't subtle at all - the Bunnies making men out of bunnies and there's always something wrong with them b/c they're just there to serve the girls whims and have no will of their own vs the Bunnies who are controlled by the Duchess and cannot have their own opinions/individuality and have parts of their personality erased to fit in. And maybe that's why their drafts are so fucked up. And Sam made a boy that was perfect for Ava b/c she poured her soul into the stag and gave it free-will. And how all the Bunnies are obsessed with Max is like the twisted mirror of how Sam wants to be loved and never left. There are so many layers to this. It is so good.
