Jonah has my heart and soul, and he can keep it.

I loved this book. It was horrifying and confusing and fantastical.

Reading this book has been a wild ride, beautifully written, the story is a heart-wrenching exploration of loneliness, projections, and the blurred lines between reality and imagination with a very obscure and dreary backdrop, the school giving it that black academia feel, and of course, the bunnies - those bunnies, like the mean girls' cult, luring you to want to be part of them, and at the same time, being too creepy to annoying to really want to stay their friend - a testament really to the author's skill to be able to weave a story so complex and emotional, full of symbolism and metaphor.

The author's writing style is captivating, creating a sense of foreboding and unease that keeps you engaged. The narrative is well-crafted, with a dramatic and haunting ending that will stay with me for a long time. The author's use of symbolism, such as the swan and the bunnies, adds a layer of depth to the story, making it even more suspenseful. Overall, I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a complex, emotional, and thought-provoking read.

I don't even know where to begin with Bunny. I loved it. It was weird and funny and dark and surprising, and Mona Awad is a brilliant writer. I need to read more of her work.

Sometimes books that satirize the pretentiousness of academia end up coming across as, well, pretentious. But Bunny is funny and unhinged, and it doesn't feel elitist, even though Awad is clearly very clever. I can see why this one wouldn't work for everyone, but I devoured it.

Very weird. Very confusing. But I liked it.

I really enjoyed the way Mona Awad played with narrative form.

SAMANTHA INLOVE WITH AVA IS THE BEST THING EVER BUT THE FACT THAT AVA DIES IS THE WORST THING EVER I WANNA CRYYYY
AMAZING BOOK!!! Got it and thought it was interesting and it was so much better than the back of the book. Get ready for a heathers and Melanie Martinez mv rollercoaster of emotions and plot line. Some parts are questionable but absolute epitome of metaphorical horror/ psychology cult thriller!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Is every girl at least a little gay for their best friend? Middle is a little boring, gets really exciting at about 4/5 through the book. From the tango class onward, I had a feeling about Ava and I was about fifty percent right. If this is what it takes to get an MFA, count me out.

Crazy-scary-sad is the perfect way to describe this book.  I'm a fan of the prose - the proems. Hate bouquet. Fuck you flower. Mouth sounds.

This book defied all my initial expectations but felt quite disjointed. I wish it flowed more smoothly. I nearly lost interest halfway through when Samantha's (the MC) pity party kind of felt too much. Still, I recommend it just because Mona Awad's writing style is fun to read!

Yes to messed up main characters. My rating also includes that I was too dumb to understand the book
because my friend who lent it to me had to spell out how unreliable the narrator was that nothing happened and suddenly it all made sense

This book is a fever dream. I didn’t know what was happening when I started and by the end I wasn’t sure where I disappeared to and how I came out the other side. It was funny and weird and horrific and I just didn’t want to put it down.

I got real Bell Jar vibes from this book. A young female writer who seems to descend into madness in part from loneliness. The further into the book you go, the further from reality you go. This one is more comedic and easier to digest since it more firmly plants itself in the surreal realm with bunny men, deer men and swan gals.

There’s a lot of speculation as to what was real or who was real. I think this book has some magical realism to it with a dash of madness. I think Sam is slowly going a bit crazy—either from loneliness or partly withdrawal from the Tic Tacs she gets fed from the bunnies. And yet most events actually took place.

There’s so many interesting commentary on privilege and access to higher education.

I’ll be thinking about this book for a while. The more I sit on this book the more I love it.

It was a bit slow at times and a bit predictable, but some things were great reveals too.

What, and I don't say this lightly, the fuck.

I need to read a discussion of this book because I'm struggling to fully understand it, but wow it still felt like effective writing in that I think my reading experience properly reflected the narrator's experience - so much chaos and tension and mystery.

Horror/thrillers aren't my usual genre, but I'm enjoying Awad's work here and in Rouge. The feminist and class-based commentary definitely helps, but I also enjoy her use of language - she wields a beautiful vocabulary.

I found it very interesting to see some repeated themes from Rouge, with the narrator's whimsical almost-dissociated voice describing her detachment from her previous relationships as she gets sucked into a coercive insidious cult. Rouge and Bunny are definitely different books with different themes and arcs, but I definitely still felt Awad's style in both.

Very tense and creepy most of the time. The whole thing sort of creeps up on you and leaves you with this overall feeling of dread. I was going to give it a 4 since a lot of the plot beats felt predictable but some of the newer elements introduced in the second half/last third and the ending made me bump it up a lot. It felt a LOT like dark academia Heathers with heavy influences from a particular classic novel that gives a lot away if I mention it.
