Audio book version comes with none of the images and for almost the entirety of chapter 1 there is a huge list of plants that I presume are pictured. This book seems more like an autobiography then an actual book on the topic at hand

What a beautiful book, full of knowledge of the wild.

I love this book & will be dipping in & out of it all year long, for years to come. The illustrations are beautiful, the knowledge is vast & backed up with scientific research, which I found fascinating. I will definitively be looking into that research further.

I like that it is broken down into months like a diary, it gives monthly wildflowers & wildlife to look out for and like Emma Mitchell I find the best thing to help my mental health is being out walking in nature, so having this monthly guide especially over wetter autumns & unpredictable winters, I'm sure this book will help keep me on track during the more difficult months with S.A.D.

I loved this beautiful brave diary. It is the first book in over a decade I have considered owning as a hard copy rather than online, just so I could flip through and look at the pictures over and over.

Emmas descriptions of snippets of her time spent in nature almost an aside to the drawings and photographs in this book. I found myself having to slow down to make the book last longer - I read August and Sept at a snails pace knowing that the end was near.
