A lovely, sunshiney idiot masking all of his feelings by indulging in every vice imaginable meets a grumpy, reclusive writer coping with his trauma by isolating himself from anything that could bring him joy. Their chemistry is immediate and delicious!

I read the second book before this one and it was great fun to spend more time with our motley crew at the Thirsty Fox. I’ll never get enough of Noah being his entire genuine self, or Miss Jo giving zero fucks about anyone’s shit.

I saw much of the “twist” and resolution coming pretty early in the book but that didn’t impact how much I enjoyed watching it play out. Which was a lot. This was a super fun read, in turns cozy af and full of silliness and delightful found family.

Charlie really made us go through it, but I love him anyway, he was flaky at the beginning but he grew so much and was trying to do the right thing by the end. I love Miles would not give up on his convictions. All’s well that ends well.
