Dess has finally got the chance to meet her "real"family in the third book of this phenomenal series. We get to see yet another different side to Decima, a girl who has found her place within the Chaos Crew, but also somewhat vulnerable whilst getting to know her new family. The Crew are as always, behind her through thick and thin, they're her guidance, her loves but they also know when to step back and let Dess deal with things.
Powers that be are after them, and she has to navigate and deal with the reason why...secrets and lies always rear their ugly heads in these situations, but Dess and her crew always stick together when it matters.
Eva and Harlow have shown how phenomenal they really are as writers and i literally cannot wait for the final book to see how everything comes together...does this series really have to end???

Wow some serious twists.

Dess finding her real family was her goal, and the guys have her back. I don’t want to spoil anything, so I’m just going with there are so very unexpected twists. Dark truths are revealed. Then serious steam builds within group and #whychoose moments take place. TW/18+

Part 3 gave us more questions than answers and I loved it all! As Dess learns more about her biological family, she realizes, the family she’s always dreamt may not be all she’d hoped for. Will she get to the bottom of why she was kidnapped?

I should add that while this definitely has some

The one where Dess finds her bio family but they might be part of a creepy cult? And there a new player who keeps dropping extremely vague hints that her bio-dad is super evil. Luckily, the bond between her harem of fellas just gets stronger, and really, what's more important, the family you share DNA with, or the family you choose for yourself?

I really tried.

The first few chapters were awesome, but reading the middle part was really hard. Perhaps medium-paced books aren't just really my thing. Perhaps I'm also just not really into contemporary books. Or maybe I'm a mood reader and the book simply didn't vibe with me.

Sadly, I have to drop this. I really tried to read it, to finish the series. I had fun at the beginning and I was invested already to the story but it just doesn't hold my interest anymore. I think I'll try to come back to this series some other time. Do a reread. Until then, I have to pause this book indefinitely.

Still, thank you for this wonderful story. I might not just be the right target reader.

After Dess finds out her father is Damian Mallick she has to decide if she is going to approach him. When she meets her family she senses something is off with them then she receives an message via an advert in a newspaper warning her to take a closer look into them. What her and the guys find out shocks all of them and they are not the easiest people to shock after some of the jobs they have done. I’m also listening to the audiobook version at the minute.
