What an absolute adventure. If the main characters were real people, I'd want to be friends with them. I love the focus of the mystery as much as the focus of their friendship and bond. I like the switching of their perspectives between chapters as well.
If you're a sucker for a feminine rage storyline, you'll like this.

Figured out the big ending/reveal fairly early but this still was such a ‘WTF?’ read! If you like Black Mirror is has similar vibes.

I only listed to a few minutes of the Leo narration and I hate the narration.

This is a very action-packed story of 2 scheming women whose sisterhood and bond to each other help them come out heroines in the end. It’s a storyline that I have never read before. Although admittedly, I have not read a lot of books yet compared to other bookstagrammers. I thought this would turn out shallow but it wasn’t. Their backstories, especially Summer’s was one I have not heard of before and was so frustrating for her. Despite their hurdles, I am glad they made it both alive, winning and still somehow devious - true to their character!

"For everyone who was born restless. May you find joy (since you will never find peace)."

I really enjoyed this audiobook! The story was suspenseful, tense, dark, and fast-paced. These besties would do anything for each other, and I loved their vibe. The book is written in dual POV, going back and forth between the two women.

You Can Trust Me is a mystery, thriller about two young nomadic women, Summer and Leo. Summer is the pick pocket, while Leo focuses on conning rich men. Michael Forrester is Leo's next hit and self-made billionaire. Leo begins spending time with Michael to steal photos from his phone to sell to the media along with whatever else she can get her hands on. Until she goes missing.

These girls were raised completely different, yet they are so similar. I absolutely loved their relationship. One minute, I was certain I knew what happened to Leo. The next minute, I thought something different; it kept me guessing, which I love.

I really really enjoyed this book! I love the multiple narrator style of writing with each person telling the story from their perspective in real time. I found the 2 main characters very loveable. I really enjoyed the story of friendship and some of the struggles, but also the depth of female friendship and the lengths people would go to for their bestie. This book was tense and fast paced in the best way. I literally had a fight with myself every time I had to put it down because k just wanted to know what was going to happen. Admittedly I guessed the bad guys early on, BUT there were a good amount of twists and turns I absolutely did not see coming and it all made sense and came together really nicely in the end. The ending was phenomenal.

Summer and Leo have been best friends since the day they met. Both with traumatic upbringings, they had each been living on the streets when they bumped into one another. Joe they are living together in Summer’s car. Travelling to different west coast cities and making their money by scamming men. Summer’s speciality is short term. She’s a great pickpocket and quick on her feet lifting wallets and IDs and getting out quick. Leo prefers a more long term approach, targeting rich men and using them for gifts until it’s time for the next city. Their next target is their biggest yet, Michael Forrester, a billionaire with holdings in tech and environmental action. Leo charms Michael enough to get an invite to his private island, accessible only by private chartered boat. When she doesn’t return as expected, Summer is determined to find her friend. After finessing her own invite to the island for an investor meeting as someone’s date, summer arrives on the island only to find Leo, not there as expected. But Summer is not leaving the island until she finds her it what has happened to Leo. The longer Summer is on the island, the more she finds out about Michael and the company he keeps, and he may not be the nice guy he appeared to be. And the more she finds out, the more danger she puts herself in.
