I thought this was a very good book. Very easy read. I would love to read a book about an adult who "goes to heaven" solely for more detail.
I don't know about this book. It's not something I would have chosen on my own but I read it for a book club. I'm a person of faith and a Christ follower, but this book made me skeptical and uncomfortable. (It doesn't help that I didn't know it was supposed to be non-fiction until about 1/3 through.) This book tells the story of a small boy's near-death experience and, upon his recovery, his explanation of what he experienced. I was unable to overcome the facts that children are famously unreliable witnesses and that people in all cultures have near-death experiences where they come back having experienced meeting dead relatives, important religious figures, etc. It's also not well-written, although that seems like a cheap shot given the parents' backgrounds and their purpose in writing this book. I'm not willing to say that I'm 100% sure it's a sham and I don't question the parents' belief that this was all true, but I would not recommend it to other readers, Christian or no.
I really enjoyed this book! It was a fast read and a feel-good book! Thanks to the rec. from Lisa Swan!
i liked it more than i thought i would. just a retelling of this families experiences and what they believe it means. a little over the top, but not in your face. not life-changing, but a gentle reminder of what one believes. i liked it.
I was orginally skeptical of this book, I have not been much for devotions or religios type books. But I got this one as a gift.
I felt compelled to read it last night, and I absolutely could not put it down, I was shocked!
I recommend this book for anyone who struggles with God answering prayers, the goodness of the world, why bad things happen, illness, etc. The innocense of a child, the honesty, shines though. I cannot say enough good about this book. Read with an open mind, and you shall receive.

Do I believe everything in this book? Not really. Still think it's worth the read.
Not to offend or upset, but I found this a little simplistic and incredulous. Seemed like the boy's memories matched the parent's view too closely.
I liked this book very much. It’s a remember for those that lose faith sometimes. I enjoyed reading it and would recommend it.
I loved this true account of a little boy that goes to heaven during a surgery when he was four. It is beautifully told by his Father. I enjoyed the way this little boy describe in his words the things he saw and the people that were there. I believe in Heaven , I believe in Jesus Christ and I believe it will be a glorious place to liver after this life!
