This books' purpose is as the title reads and is meant to give hope to those who need proof during times of stress. I am spiritual so overall enjoyed the premise of this book, but it did seem like one long sermon, good, but a sermon nonetheless. I plan to pass on seeing the movie.

Good story that will make you stop & think!

Excellent book. Very compelling story of a child's vision of heaven.

Incredibly inspirational and faith affirming! To have faith like a child is something we should all strive for, and this book helped me remember that!

I only read this book because my grandmother gave it to me (she loved it, of course). This is a beautiful story, but I'm sure that much of it is fabricated. Call me a skeptic... but so much of what Colton Burpo "saw" was cliche. People in heaven have wings? Really? And his physical description of Jesus was laughable. Most illustrations of Jesus Christ paint him as having a brown beard and long(ish) hair, and wearing white. C'mon.

Read this book in a day. Laughed, cried tears of joy and sorrow. Left feeling uplifted. Great story- whether it's true or not it touched my heart.

Loved it! What's the harm in believing?

Thoroughly enjoyed Colton's descriptions of his supernatural travels!

I really didnt think that I would enjoy this book but it was pleasantly surprising. It is inspiring and gives you hope. It was no like a self help book it was just a very straight forward description of the events the Burpo family went through. Granted they are a very faith involved family, the father is a pastor... so that could subliminaly influenced Colton's trip to Heaven. Who are we to say? It made my eyes water a little and I can't deny that I got excited when Colton would describe heaven. The book was a great quick read.
