I recommend this book to everyone!!!! It gave me a totally different idea of what heaven is like and what the end times will be like. I need to read it many times because I will learn so many things over and over.
I was excited about this book. I really wanted to believe the story, in the middle of the book I was skeptical but by the end I believe most of it. I would be a little less skeptical if the author wasn't a pastor. The little girl in the end of the book is probably what swayed me the most.

It's hard to rate a book like this. Who can say whether what this child experienced was really heaven? Was it just a vision from God to comfort him or did he really die? I can't answer these questions. It was a compelling book, made me ask questions, but in the end didn't change anything for me. But I don't think that is the point of the book anyways.
It was a little slow staring and at times the story goes off in tangent before coming back to the point. Still it was different and a short book to listen to.
Dreck about about a family which believes their son went up to visit heaven during a life-threatening illness. I don't buy it for one single second. I believe that THEY believe it -- they had a run of serious bad luck and their son's claims at the perfect time to reassure them.
But, bleech.
This was the choice of one of my book clubs. Thank goodness it is short.

This took me awhile to read, only because I was enjoying vacation - and we passed right through Imperial, NE on a day trip!! I loved this one - I'm full of hope at this moment, thinking of little Colton's message.
It was rather hard for me to read about a blond blue eyed little boy almost dying...but it was an interesting book. Not entirely sure what I think about the whole thing, but it's a quick read. Generally, I believe in heaven, but I kind of like the ideas from the shack better than the idea of some place with gold and jewels and all that. But what do I know? Honestly don't want to find out any time soon. ;)
What a sweet story!!! Easy, quick read. This story gives you hope that there just may be a lovely place to go at the end of the road here on Earth, of course only if you play your cards right.
