I am speechless after reading this book. The true story of sacrifice made by these women (when they never should have had to) is sad, yet remarkable. I just don’t think my words can do their story justice, but Kate Moore did a phenomenal job of it. Read the book and find out for yourself!

So important, but so devastating. I think this book and author did a good job of showing the women and families behind the statistics, and telling their stories. These events are hard to stomach, but even more so when you fully grasp the humanity of the subject tied into every woman impacted. I actually got a little teary eyed at the end, which I did NOT expect from a historical biography. Not an easy read, but a worthwhile one.
