It’s fun to find all the Easter eggs in Jimenez’s works now that I’ve read a few, although I did spend some time wondering if I had a bad memory or if she just really liked certain names for characters.

A solid read easy to get into. Saw it on a few favourites of 2024 and decided to give it a chance and so happy I did. Will definitely pick up more from this author. I usually hate kids in books but this was done so naturally, the relationship between Justin and Emma, Emma and Maddy was just 👌

Only negative would be the metaphors are just a bit too heavy handed. Also the repetition- small and docking station. Realistically it’s a 3.5⭐️ but it made me happy and cry so I bumped it up lol.

I loved this book. I laughed, I cried, its been sitting with me.

Somethings I enjoyed. The sex scenes were not super spicy. As someone on the asexual spectrum I can find books with heavy spice to be offputting and over whelming. This was the perfect balance. It was there but not so much that it was a turn off or that I laughed awkwardly for 7 minutes of audio book.

I enjoyed seeing the progress of the two main characters with one coming to terms with childhood abuse and the other learning empathy and forgiveness. By the time you get to the end you find it satisfying.

Very cute romance. A bit sad and intense due to the main characters difficult family situations but that made it feel much more grounded than some other romances I've read.

This is my first Abby Jimenez book and I liked it, mostly. I didn’t realize it was part of a series until
all the other main characters showed up and very clearly referenced the other books,
which I didn’t love, but for the most part it was fun. I liked the MMC a lot; I don’t read romance novels for characterization so he was a pleasant surprise.
