On the Subject of Unmentionable Things by Julia Walton was an easy, fast-paced read, and I quite enjoyed getting to re-visit high school as a teenage girl with a secret. The quips between the characters was uplifting and funny and still very much had the feel of being in high school when you're trying to determine "What is going on with my body?" and "Who do I want to be? How do I want people to see me?"

The ending felt differently paced than the rest of the book, and it didn't deliver quite the way I had hoped or anticipated. I must say, though, that I loved how strong Cora and Phoebe's friendship was and how they accepted each other for who they were - flaws and all.

I enjoyed this latest book by Walton, but it was not my favorite of hers. It is still worth reading, though!
