Book three in the Darkmourn universe brings us back to vampires and the world Marius and Jak rule in trying to protect it. Rhory’s husband is the head of the Crimson Guard and loved by all which is why it’s such a big secret that he mistreats Rhory. Eamon is abusive, cruel, and dangerous and when Rhory is kidnapped by a wolf his world starts to unravel at the seams.

Reasons I Recommend:

1) I always enjoy a tale where someone survives something like domestic abuse and learns how to be stronger on their own

2) It ties in the whole Darkmourn universe into one large world of the supernatural and fantasy and

3) It really takes the story of Little Red Riding Hood to a whole other level

It's darker than I expected compared to his earlier books, but it's what made me like this one so much! Had a bit of edge to it as well kept me on my feet. A couple plot twists that, if I'm being honest, I should have seen but didn't! Smut scenes *chefs kiss*
