This was my least favorite of the series. I can appreciate that there wasn’t any miracle fix for Annie’s anxiety because that’s life, but I still felt like this felt a little flat in comparison to the others.

I have mixed feelings about this book. I liked how Justus realised what he did when they were young was wrong and the way he gave Annie time to settle into his community was good. Annie on the other hand, was difficult to connect with. Her anxiety about doing literally the most mundane things was tiring to constantly read about. The first half of the book was not really impressive but I liked the last half. Especially, all the scenes with the little pups were really cute. So while I enjoyed some parts of this book, I felt like the plot could've been executed better. I'd give this a 2.5 star rating, honestly.

This was my favourite of this series since the first book. I really liked the expansion of the world to include the Last Pack. I really liked Justus’s approach to making amends with Annie once he figured out how badly he messed up initially, and how she managed to open up to him. Always love seeing the old crew of Kennedy, Killian, Mari, and Una!
