I read the beta and have got to see the “behind the scenes” info.
As someone that’s loved Cate’s work for years, this story Blew My Mind! It took everything we knew about The Five Packs and flipped it, and it was all there from the beginning.
Before this story, I was rather ambivalent about Annie’s character. Like most people, I have my favorites that I’m anxiously awaiting a story for; but Cate pulled a Cate. Characters that I normally wouldn’t care about are now some of my favorites.
This was an intense slow burn too. I laughed at Annie & Justus’s first intimate scene, but by the time they were really connecting I was all freaking in.
All of that to say, y’all are in for a treat.
