Info: Trigger Warning, 18+, Steamy, Plot twists, Suspenseful, Perfect to get you out of a reading slump!
Tropes: Enemies to Lovers
Pros:
Plot twists, Enemies to lovers (which happens to be my favorite trope), Page turner, Plot Twists, Plot Driven, Suspenseful, Steamy!
Cons:
Trigger Warnings, Long Chapters
Review:
I have to be honest, I was very back and fourth about this book during the first half of it. Ryen, one of our main characters, was annoying; and Misha, our other main character, was a complete douchebag! Then that all changed after…certain things began happening and then I was hooked. I was a little thrown off at first since they’re in high school but 1) They’re 18 in the story and 2) I remember being a teenager and I can’t say I was innocent, In fact quite the opposite. Penelope Douglas captured being a teenager perfectly. The story itself was amazing! All the plot twists, I swear, my jaw was dropping left and right! By the time I reached the end, I knew this was going to be a 5 star read!
Final Rating:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Stars!

After reading Credence, this went straight on my tbr. Many many months later I have finally got round to reading it. I loved every second of it and struggled to put it down, reading it in two sessions.
This book is a friends to enemies to lovers book and it was done to perfection

I need to stop treating books like they’re fanfiction and I know it’s hypocritical of me to say that considering I bought a kindle because it felt like I was reading fanfiction but It’s not healthy staying up till 5am to finish reading a book in less than 24h.
Ps: this spoke to my heart considering I picked up reading due to twilight and actually kept on reading because of twilight fanfiction but that’s closer to my 13-15year old self than the current one so it was not my cup of tea but I appreciated the sentimental value + it gave me strong 13 reasons why vibes and they’re not my cup of tea either.
I left high school behind with no dramatic or traumatic experiences 7 years ago so I was not really looking forward reading young adult high school drama.

I LOVE this book. I think I have reread it 3 times now. It was the first book that got my hooked onto Penelope Douglas's works, and I could not be happier about it. So anquisty and hot with the right amount of romance. 5 stars from me, baby.
