Love Sorsha even more, she is one brave woman to stand toe-to-toe with Omen. He is going to be tough to crack but I have no doubt that Sorsha will manage it. I'm enjoying seeing how her relationships with each of the guys evolves. I like that they don't all automatically jump into a relationship like most reverse harem books. Each of the guys is developing their relationship with Sorsha in their own way, at their own pace.

I really like the story and I’ve already started the third because I’m totally hooked, but this one was more drama and borderline bullying due to Omen and it was a little less enjoyable.
I’m sure she’s going to end up with him too eventually, and it just doesn’t sit well. You see glimpses of him “doing the hardass thing because he has to because no one else will and they need the push” but it’s honestly not enough for the utter disdain he has for Sorsha until he discovers she’s not totally human and will be more useful than he realized. It just doesn’t sit well, she just takes it too because she’s afraid to rock the boat too much and have the other guys ditch her for their leader which… I know I said I like that she’s multi faceted in my first review but it honestly feels against her character. She gets hurt more than once because he’s an asshole that doesn’t give her a second thought; he even hurts her intentionally when he grows suspicious about her less than humannness.
I just… don’t like bully romance within the harem. Maybe I’m wrong and he won’t end up with her; but as it stands that’s what feels like is happening and I don’t totally like the direction it’s going.
Otherwise it was really good, the plot thickens and things get a whole lot more complicated. We get more bestie screen time, we meet more Shadowkind, and shit gets real with the secret organization.
I’m invested in finding out what happens to/with Snap too; I was heartbroken when he left

This isn’t romance. This is a action-ish book with some steamy scenes. Far FAAAAAAAR too many chase, getaway scenes. It was too much in the first. This whole books was “oh no bad guys? How were we caught unawares?” And Snap WTH????
I’d like to know what happens but I’ll probably just read someone’s synopsis.
