Rated it four and a half stars solely because of personal style preference, and how I always need something to *just* push something up to five stars. However, still a fantastic book, and I’m looking forward to reading more from her.
I fucking love the connections to the female body that Choi illustrates. How we need it desperately to work in specific ways, how we remind ourselves we’re alive by poking and prodding. The through-line of the woman as cyborg. The further I read, the more I understood. I’m really glad I stuck with Soft Science until the end.
My favorite poems: Jaebal, The Price of Rain, Chi, Ode to Epinephrine, Chatroulette, Turing Test_Weight
