I'm enjoying the richness of this world. I will continue as I actually think the story is getting better.
I'm ready to like the main character more, but he is growing on me.

I am still impressed by Amber's world building. The laconic diction, which was offputting in the first novel, is definitely growing on me, and I liked the plot twist at the end.
