This book had so many of my favorite things. This was everything I want in a good hockey romance, some lovely scenes of them playing hockey, a really cute but hard-fought romance, a rivals-to-lovers vibe, and really good chemistry between the characters. This book just hit all of my buttons and for that reason, it just really worked for me.

I loved the relationship development in this book. I really enjoyed how Bailey and Chase got together and I was such a fan of all of their interactions. They had really good banter between them and I loved seeing them interact. The interactions between Bailey and Chase and their chemistry together was probably my favorite part of this book, I just thought that it was absolutely perfect and a joy to read. I really loved how Bailey and Chase just started spending more and more time together and their feelings for each other started to develop over time through the course of their relationship. I had so much fun reading about them hanging out and just seeing all of the time they spent together. They were truly a wonderful pair and I just loved reading about them being together. You could see how into each other they are through their every move and I loved that. I loved how they always had each other's best interests in mind and how they were always there for each other.

Also, Bailey was such a strong presence and Chase was the typical cocky hockey player but he was also super fun and I really liked his persona.

Overall, this was a super lovely book and I was such a fan of the romance in this one. This couple will stay in my mind for a while, I just love them together so much.

I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion

3.75 / 5 cute read but felt too long. I loved Chase- protective but cinnamon roll MMC.

Tropes
- hockey romance
- rivals
- bad boy good girl
- dual POV

Amazing

The MMC was everything, hot, sexy, a great hockey player, and an even greater flirt. That being said he was also gentle, generous, loving, caring, supportive and amazing protective. The FMC had a lot of bad breaks in life but the best one was having her ex leave her and kinda crush her heart on her birthday, I know that sounds bad too but this opens the door to the MMC to step up to the plate and blow her expectations out the window. He provides her with the safety and care she needs and puts her first in everything he does. The spice level in the book was good (

I actually kinda loved this book. There were some head scratch moments and some things were brought up as if they would be issues and never went anywhere, but I was enjoying the playboy/badboy being reformed and turned simp aspect too much to care.

It was cute but not something I would go out of my way to buy

This book was so cute wtf??!! Chase Carter is the literal definition of a perfect person. This did get a bit repetitive during the middle but towards the end it changed up a bit. Don’t expect anything crazy or new about this book. It’s just a basic cute sports romance with your dish of drama, but sometimes that’s what you want when you don’t want a serious read. 4/5!!

Entirely too long. Took too much time to get to the twist and many of the scenes do nothing to drive the plot forward could probably drop 200 pages and it would have been a lot more streamlined.
