I’m not married so I couldn’t make a judgement on the marital relationship side of the book (hence 4 stars).

However, all these principles are highly applicable to one’s relationship with God. The four foundational pillars are a great framework to deepen one’s walk with God, especially in reference to the “yada” intimacy with God.

This was an interesting book to listen to as a single person. My sister-in-law found it powerful and recommended it, and I read it mostly to be able to discuss with her. However, I do think it's worthwhile to listen to as a single. Cultivating a gospel-centered perspective on sex and considering what sex represents to Christians has value regardless of marital status.

This isn't a book for teens.

Primarily because the marriage and intimacy study I was doing with my wife and a small group on this book was over. I honestly didn’t appreciate a lot of the material, as it felt less applicable to us than the group discussions we would do about the material in the book. I didn’t think it was completely unhelpful for everyone, but for us the skimmed content in the video portions of the course were enough of a reminder for us.
