The style of this book was unique, mixing stream of consciousness and the pace that I've come to associate with Nordic writers. Each chapter is told from a different perspective and, though I tend to steer clear of books that are laid out like that, the voices of the characters felt SO different and unique, as if it were 4 different authors writing each chapter. The only part of the book that felt like a miss was the last chapter, but even then, I'm feeling conflicted. It just seemed like the character, Sara, was acting in ways that were uncharacteristic given the previous chapters. But, the juxtaposition of life and death was very beautiful.
Overall, this is a book worth having in the collection. It's a slim volume, but the depth of the characters makes you feel like you've known them for a lot longer than 173 pages. If you're sick of the same old books and you're interested in New Adult fiction, give this a shot!
