It was good. I really enjoyed the hierarchy of spirits. The ending was cute and tbh I didn’t really see coming. I just wanted more depth.

I liked this better than Sorcery of Thorns but still not as much as Enchantment of Ravens. I went into this with low expectations but I am pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it.

I loved so much about this book. It was moody and atmospheric, the main character’s autism was well-represented (imo) and made me happy to see, the characters were dynamic and nuanced, and the lore was fascinating.
I almost rated it a 4 because the pacing was a little slow and there were too many loose ends for a standalone, but then I learned it was meant to have sequels but the author didn’t write them due to her mental health. So if I give that part a free pass, it’s definitely a 4.5.

Not a lot to say about this one. It's just not really my style of trope. It was good writing and a well written story.
