I adore this author. I got into this book so quickly and I did not expect to laugh so much while reading! Fantasy books without all the confusion and nonsensical romance, just wholesome friendships and a peaceful ending without a cliffhanger. Amazing

I am confused about rating this book. I went from 2.5 to 4.5 as I am reading. The story was unique at least for me. I haven't read one like it and it was strange for me to continue reading although I didn't love the MC right away. So the first couple of pages was good then I felt a little bored. There wasn't much happening but then the story picked up and I loved it more in the second half. I loved the relationships that formed also the bond between the characters was beautiful.

So overall, I will go with 3 stars maybe .5 star more because of the revenant's sass. I really hoped I loved the MC more.
