This was one of the best hunger games books I have ever read. I read this as a audio book as I thought it would be hard to be in the head of a villain. But it was actually really fun. Seeing how Snow justified all his horrible actions in his head. How he thought it was the best thing for them in the long run but really it was all about him

I'm really excited to watch the movie after this and hear the songs properly. It was so much fun to be back in the hunger games world no matter how depressing and shocking the story was sometimes.

This is a must read.

AHHHHHHHH I LOVE LOVE LOVED THIS BOOK I MEAN THE TWIST THE HATRED THE EVERYTHING. I HATED SNOW BEFORE THIS BUT THIS BOOK SHOWS WHERE HE COMES FROM SO WELL IM SO EXCITED FOR THE MOVIE AND MIGHT I JUST SAY LUCY HAS MY HEART. LIKE I DONT UNDERSTAND THE LIKE SWITCH THAT TURNED IN CORYO NEARING THE END BUT I JUST I LOVE THIS BOOK AND MY HATE FOR CORIOLANUS IS LIKE SMALLER NOW

I really enjoyed this book. It was marketed as a story about President Snow and it delivered a story about President Snow. He was not born an old, scary, evil tyrant. He was young, of course, and it’s a fascinating contrast to the tale of a young heroine from the original trilogy. I was invested in learning both his journey to his fate and the fates of those around him from page one, knowing full well what end was coming.
