I wish this book was longer just so I could've gotten to enjoy it for more days, but at the same time I don't want to change anything about it because it was that good!

Well, first off, I adored Lilith as a main character. As a scientist myself, it was so fun to see her perspective on the world and her character was relatable in many ways for me. And Vale! The romance! The extended worldbuilding! Learning about the other gods and the human side of the world! Lilith's sacrifices for her family and her town! I could go on. It was also cool to connect the events in this book to the ones I'm currently reading about in The Ashes & The Star-cursed King, which contextualized some things for me in interesting ways.

For such a short novel, this story had quite an impact on me.

I'd call it a 3.75 rounded up. It's a nice complete story in the same world. I enjoyed it and appreciate that it's a supplement to the world she's built. Would definitely recommend if you enjoy the Crowns of Nyaxia series

Very short little novella, but an entertaining little love story. You were still compelled to follow along with the main character as she tried to find the cure to the god created illness, but were interested in seeing how the vampire/human pair would end up together. Short sweet, but still a fun little book.
