James Baldwin talking about Elijah and the Nation of Islam was really my favorite bits to read
It's always interesting to see how I agree or disagree with different Black thinkers

James Baldwin, to me at least, was a master of both the written and spoken word. Highly recommend.
So, so glad I finally took the time to pick up this gem.

Unsurprisingly this is incredible. I recommend reading it physically though because I had a constant urge to annotate and highlight passages.

Possibly the most poignant prose in the history of everything.

Reading this back to back with Between the World And Me was a great way to take in these powerful voices. To reread one in the future should be to reread both.
