I listened to this via audiobook. It was only my second time listening to an audiobook and I was really nervous that it wouldn’t hold my attention. I was pleasantly surprised! It took a bit for me to really get into the story, but once I did, I almost felt like I was right there in Mistletoe myself! A few predictable scenarios, but plenty of unexpected moments throughout! I’ll definitely be checking out other books from this author.

I really enjoyed this as a Christmas themed cozy mystery. I liked the side characters a lot. There is a lot of good depth and I’m looking forward to seeing relationships develop as the series continues. The only random little thing was the use of the word tummy. It drove me a little insane. “My tummy was in knots” “I felt it in my tummy” etc.

This cozy mystery was everything I didn’t know I needed! I absolutely loved the mystery and setting this book. Holly White was such an interesting main character and I honestly could not stop listening to this audiobook! I picked it up on a whim and I am so glad I did! I will be immediately jumping into the sequel!

This was a delightful and delicious read! The sweets, the christmas trees. The town the whole thing..was so magical! There was murder and sweets and sassy cat named Cindy Lou who! Oh and Christmas wonderland of dreams. Literally a small town who loves Christmas and Holly and her parents own a tree farm with a bakery that looks like a gingerbreadhouse ! When can move in?!

Great From The Very Beginning

It's been awhile since I can say I've REALLY enjoyed a story as much as this one. I absolutely loved the characters. Cookie was my favorite. She is wonderful. But, I also loved Holly's cat, Cindy Lou Who. Not once did I ever feel like the story was being dragged out. It was exactly what I wanted and needed from a cozy mystery.

I had been meaning to clean out our “playroom” for months, but I’ll admit that I need a deadline. That deadline arrived in the form of a party for my daughter. So three days before said party, I popped in Twelve Slays of Christmas by Jacqueline Frost (book one in the Christmas Tree Farm cozy mystery series) and got to work. This was lots of fun to listen to and made the hours fly by. There are two more in the series that I’ve added to my TBR.
