Thus Zarathustra said, “You great star, you deep eye of happiness, what would your happiness be had you not those for whom you shine?”
Eclectic & provocative. A beautiful blend of philosophy, poetry and paradox of prophecy and wisdom that challenges the will to power.

This is well worth stepping into .. and I slowly read and continue to red and reread because there is much to reflect on and consider .. agree or disagree with what is written it is thought provoking and not difficult to read.
I accept that this was written in a different time and I can usually gloss over the constant 'masculine' in the writing and no doubt, there is a feminist reading of this but for now I shall continue on my path .....
'As long as men have existed, man has enjoyed himself too little: that alone, my brothers, is our original sin! And if we learn to enjoy ourselves, we best unlearn to do harm to others and to contrive harm.'

I taught it in class and my students loved it. It presents a different view on life and society. The theory of Superman and going beyond good and evil to proceed forward in human evolution.
The text is in form of sermons that Zarathustra delivers which makes it look like a religious book and that is so clever of Nietzsche how he uses the character of Prophet Zarathustra -who introduced ethics in ancient times- to go beyond good and evil.
