First two chapters were interesting
Didn't like the frivolous use of the n-word (but maybe that was the intention)
He writes in such a way that I don't believe him

Very enjoyable read about a vast cast of conspiritors and general assortment of weirdos.
I think this was followed by better writing and subjects, but this was a fun dip into the world of conspiracists from Ronson's funny anxiety ridden point of view.
3.5 stars actually. It was interesting to read about extremists themselves as well as their groups.
It was the last chapter of this book that made the whole read worthwhile, though. For me, few non-fiction books have had an ending as good this one.

Holy Crap!
This reads like a novel in the first person. I can't make heads or tails of it and that's actually brilliant. Ronson does his thing but he also takes us on a bizarre journey of the bizarre. What do we believe? Where is the line between fantasy and reality? Is anyone guilty can anyone be truly innocent? Are we all not both parts of this hypocrisy at our core? Without ever posing these questions, these are the themes explored in, what I think is, a brilliant balance between journalism and sensationalist narrative. It was certainly entertaining, thought-provoking and climactic. I can see some hating the ending but I loved it. Brilliant conclusion to the precise point of the entire narrative.

This book is silly. I mean, he starts researching extremists, which is interesting, but then he almost becomes an extremist, hunting down the room where "they" rule the world. And we all know that there is no they who run the world, so this is just silly and a waste of time. I wanted to read about extremists and their activities, but I didn't want to read a silly book about breaking into hotels because you think a cabal of Jews who run the world is hiding there. Anyway, this guy kind of became the thing he studied, which is always a risk, but it stopped being interesting along the way.
