Taking the rating down to 3 stars because, even though I didn't really find anything WRONG with this book, it wasn't particularly memorable.

Some cussing, which definitely felt out of place. Kissing, which sometimes got passionate but didn't ever feel /too/ detailed. An enjoyable read, but probably not one I'll ever reread.

I love the commentary of being remembered and immortality
And the discussion of jealousy between the fairies and the humans
Like the fairies live forever but don't truly live they are just empty shells wandering the world mimicking human emotion but never truly feeling it
How they envy humans for their craft which in this book can be considered like their purpose people who have seen the movie "Soul" might know what I'm getting at and how like one fairy who used to be human lost her purpose or what she simply like to do in life for immortality
haven't really read too many books that have immortal people but the ones I have read try to paint the immortal life as the best and most fulfilling thing but when you really think about it it probably would be the most miserable
And the moments like with the character Aster you can really see that and it's beautifully written
I hope all that made sense

I'm giving 3 stars because this book is a bit confusing. The writing is good, but history looks like a thousand others. Another important point is: why she fell in love so quickly?!!!?? I started this one really excited, but now I'm kinda disappointed...

I didn't love this, and it felt really slow. I had to read it in smaller bits because I kept finding myself falling asleep. There were some interesting concepts, but overall just not enough. It started off pretty interesting, and I liked the idea of fairies not being able to craft things, and humans needing to do it for them. But then it turned into one long travel-fest. They're going to one place, now, no, they're going somewhere else, but wait, not there, let's go to this other place. And that was probably 75% of the book.
